A Well Mind is a community of mental health professionals offering psychological assessment and psychotherapy/counselling services.
Our name, A Well Mind, was inspired by the Greek word εὔνοια or Eunoia [yoo-noy-uh] meaning “a well mind” or “beautiful thinking".
There's an optimal state of wellbeing that each of us are capable of achieving, but we may need help getting there sometimes. Our focus is on helping our clients achieve lasting personal fulfillment and develop greater awareness.
We are committed to helping children, teens, and adults enhance their self-esteem, build resiliency, and develop the social-emotional skills necessary for success in school and in life.
We know that every human is unique and has their own temperament and learning style. As such, each assessment and therapeutic approach is tailored to your personality, strengths, and abilities.
Support for the whole-person means focusing on the skills and knowledge that all people must develop for the foundation of success, including social, emotional and behavioural skills.
When families (and schools) work together to support one another, there are significant benefits for everyone. We believe in a collaborative approach to promote positive outcomes.
We promote awareness and sensitivity for the individual differences and diverse backgrounds of all the children and families we work with. We welcome individuals of all ages, gender identities, and demographic backgrounds.
Please note, we are not a crisis centre. If this is a psychiatric crisis, mental health, or medical emergency, please go to your local emergency department, call 9-1-1, or a local distress line.
