Melissa earned a master’s degree in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology from the University of Guelph. She is a licensed Psychological Associate and member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Melissa has worked in private practice, hospital, and school board settings, and has extensive experience in child and adolescent assessment. Melissa approaches her work from a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive stance, and believes in every child’s fundamental right to education, inclusion, dignity, and belonging. In addition to providing assessment services, Melissa also uses Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) to provide parents and caregivers with individual coaching and group-based services. These services may benefit those who are looking for support with navigating their child’s emotional dysregulation, behavioural challenges, or mental health needs.
